A fly on the wall series that offers hope to some of NY states young offenders through a mentorship program based around the nations favourite sport, Football. Former NFL greats will team up with coaching members of the NYPD Finest football team to take on the challenge to reach out to these lost youths and offer them an outlet and experience that they may help change the course of their lives. Using the core essence of what it takes to succeed, as well as the importance of team work and discipline, these football heroes aim to change the fortunes of the 53 member squad, all of whom have or are likely to have, a run in with the law.

Over 6 weeks former NFL greats will assemble, alongside key coaching staff from the NYPDs Finest Football team, to train a team to take part in one of New York’s tackle leagues. Taking the roles of Head Coach, Offensive Co-Ordinator and Defensive Co-Ordinator. Over the course of the short season from September to December the NFL greats will guide the individuals and aim to create a winning team mentality and unlock the talents of individual team players.

The series will also follow some of the individual players on the highs and lows of their journey over the season both on and off the field and learn more about the challenges they face and the reasons that they found themselves on the wrong side of the law in the 1st place.

The NFL greats can call on various other NFL greats for special sessions as special teams coach, quarterback coach, linebacker coach etc. They will also engage with the team to fund raise for equipment and uniform.
